Dirt-bike rider crashed and died in Ocala National Forest, FHP says – Orlando Sentinel

A 59-year-old man riding a dirt bike struck a tree and died in Ocala National Forest in Lake County on Sunday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Just after 11 a.m. the man was riding a 2022 KTM dirt bike travelling northbound in the forest when he struck two trees and was thrown from the bike, FHP said.

He was taken to Advent Health Waterman Hospital where he died, FHP said.

The crash remains under investigation.
