Dirt bike driver killed in Cleves crash with FedEx van, officials say

The driver of a dirt bike died Tuesday afternoon after striking a FedEx van in Cleves, according to a Hamilton County Sheriff's Office new release.

Officials said the crash happened around 4:40 p.m. on Mount Nebo Road near Timberline Court. The sheriff's office added that the delivery van driver was westbound and attempted to turn left, while the dirt bike driver was headed in the opposite direction when they hit the van's front corner.

The dirt bike driver, whose identity has not been released as officials work to notify their family, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The sheriff's office said excessive speed is being investigated as a possible factor in the crash. Anyone with information is urged to contact investigators at 513-825-1500.
